FOUNDER

Lashoney J. Frink

Public service is about having the ability to make a real difference to those individuals one has the honor to serve. Since adolescence Lashoney Frink discovered within herself a strong compassion and burning desire to help improve the lives of others.

"I enjoy organizing different charity events for underrepresented populations. I've always had a strong passion for giving back to the community. When I see a need that must be addressed, I engage it head on."

While working on her Bachelor of Social Work at North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC, Ms. Frink held the leadership position as President of the Social Work Society organization. With that position, she kept the organization very active in community service events such as Habitat for Humanity, Canned Food drives, Coat Drives, and visiting Duke University's Children’s Hospital every semester. In addition to that, while working on her Master of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University, Atlanta GA, she held the leadership position as President of the National Association of Black Social Workers organization. She was later inducted into the National Alpha Epsilon Lambda Tau Chapter Honor Society.

Ms. Frink has engulfed herself in several community service projects within the Atlanta area such as; Feed the Homeless, Hygiene Drives, and Coat Drives. She has traveled alongside the President of Atlanta’s Chapter NAACP to Ferguson, Missouri to perform voter registration drives. She also received the Columbus County Volunteer Service Award and the Columbus County 15 Under 40 Recognition, where she was recognized for conducting several community service events.

“A leader’s job is to motivate your team to success and enable everyone to grow and perform together at a higher level. The power of one person can truly make a difference in the lives of many. I desire to be a vehicle to implement social and positive change on a global scale. Whether it’s working on building up my hometown community or other communities across the world."

Lashoney Graduated with her Master of Social Work degree in 2017 from Clark Atlanta University. She is currently employed as Columbus County School's Social Worker. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She also serves as one of the advisors for Highly Educated and Refined (H.E.R.), a mentorship program that focuses on preparing young ladies to make positive lifestyle decisions.
